Dicotyledon

Also known as Dicot.

The name given to a flowering plant whose embryo has two (rarely more) seed leaves (cotyledons). Mature dicotyledons develop leaves with a branching network of veins, in contrast to monocotyledons which typically have parallel veins.

Adjective: Dicotyledonous.
